Avira is free and effective antivirus. It scans malicious programs such viruses, worms, trojans and backdoor programs. Compared to other free antivirus, Avira is very reliable in terms of protection for your system. This antivirus immediately prompts you if a virus is detected in your system. I am currently using Avira and I just appreciate how it protects my pc against viruses.

Avast is another free antivirus from the web. It provides minimal protection against viruses and even spywares. The Pro version of Avast gives you additional protection from dangerous websites. The best protection you can get from Avast is their version of Internet Security and anti-spam. This version also protects you from thefts. You can safely shop online and make banking transactions with no worry.

3. AVG
AVG comes from a free package that prevents viruses to spread to your system. AVG has the feature LinkScanner, which offers protection for every site you are visiting in the web. AVG, just like the other free antivirus is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7.

4. Spybot Search and Destroy
If you are looking for a free anti spyware, you can choose Spybot. This is a free software the will protect your system for spywares and malicious malwares. I am still using this software, and it is also reliable. I got no problems on installing it, it is easy as 1,2,3. If you are having trouble installing this software, you can always reach out to their customer service. But usually, other antivirus such as Vipre antivirus will force you to uninstall Spybot. If you have the option to skip or ignore, do so. Spybot does not have any conflict with other spyware removals
